Description
MAX485 TTL to RS-485 Converter Module
The MAX485 TTL converter module is a half-duplex transceiver board designed to translate standard Transistor-Transistor Logic (TTL) serial signals from a microcontroller into differential RS-485 signals. Driven by the industry-standard MAX485 IC, this module allows microcontrollers to communicate reliably over long distances (up to 1200 meters) in noisy electrical environments using a single twisted-pair cable.
* Module Type: Half-Duplex RS-485 to TTL Serial Transceiver [MAX485 TTL to RS485 Converter Module]
* Core Chipset: MAX485 Integrated Circuit
* Operating Voltage: DC 5.0 Volts
* Communication Mode: Half-Duplex (two-way communication using a shared 2-wire bus, controlled by direction pins)
* Maximum Data Rate: Up to 2.5 Mbps for high-speed serial data transmission
* Bus Capacity: Supports up to 32 transceivers connected to the same multi-drop communication network
* Pin Configuration Layout:
* TTL/MCU Side: VCC (5V), GND, RO (Receiver Output), RE (Receiver Enable – active low), DE (Driver Enable – active high), DI (Driver Input)
* Bus Side: A (Non-inverting line), B (Inverting line) via a standard 2-pin screw terminal block
* Hardware Features: Onboard 5.08mm pitch screw terminals for easy bus wiring, along with 2.54mm pitch breakout pins for breadboard prototyping
