The SW-520D is a small, roller-ball style tilt and vibration sensor switch housed in a sealed, waterproof cylinder measuring 5.2mm × 11.5mm. It operates on a simple mechanical principle: when the sensor is tilted beyond a certain angle (typically 15 degrees) or shaken, an internal gold-plated metal ball rolls to bridge or break the connection between two conductive leads, acting as a non-directional trigger.
